ok now 256 presets are done.
one more little demo,
again only synth1 no other FX
this time only single patches:
ACK3 patches
please forgive my bad keyboard playing,
but I'm not really a pianist
here you can see the list of patches:
bank 1
bank 2
I'm doing the final touches and hope it will be released by the end of the week.

I haven't used synth1 in a very long time, but this may bring back some interest for me. Great work man, looks sweet

thanks all
I'm always impressed by the sonic range of Synth1,
and it's really fun to make new sounds.
well maybe a little dissapointment for the freebie hunters,
I'm thinking of making these sounds payware, but not expensive,
less than a packet of cigarettes (at least in NY)
my idea is 4,99$.
I've put many work in these, and I've already released ACK 1 and ACK 2 for free,
so now I think it is ok to take something for the bundle,
all together ACK 1 - 3 are now 512 presets. these all for 4,99$ is not much imho.
what do you think?
and please don't discuss freeware and commercial presets again.

Well, rsmus7, I think you should charge a fee, since you've put so much care and time (not to mention your work is solid). I'll definitely check them out.rsmus7 wrote:thanks all

I think it is justified by the work I put in
and the quality of the sounds to charge a bit for them,
and I won't make anyone poor by my price
tho I know there are already so many sounds for synth1 out there,
but I've mostly been not happy with them,
that's why I started to make my own,
and I've heard many good things from users about them.
So that encourages me to make more
and now I think is the point to get something back

ok chicken,
but you should tell your buddy that he's doing no good
and I'm sure my sounds are worth the little money
alone the time one needs to programm more than 200 sounds.

256 * .02 = $5.12
Is there anyone who cannot see that this is a deliriously LOW price when rsmus7 is not even charging 2 cents per patch?
...I suspect these will make me break out synth1 more often! (much the same way that TOTC's crazy deal for dahornet presets did when I picked that up)
not to stir things up- but I am all for supporting the work of these guys like rsmus7 who spend the time coming up with such great sounds REGARDLESS of what instrument it serves. Preset/patch design a serious skill and largely under appreciated it seems. Unrepentant tweaker that I am, I rarily use the sounds as they come off the banks, but man- they sure are time savers in that its waaay easier/quicker than starting from scratch when you can sift thru a bunch of presets and find one that's close! (IMHO, of course!)
Thanks for the update and will be looking fwd to these, rsmus7!

hi blortblort
sure less than 0.2 cents per patch is near to nothing,
but I'm sure many would like to complain when one chrages for presets for a freeware instrument.
I know we had that discussion a while ago.
But imvho it is ok to get a kickback for my work.
I really hope to finish the sounds and setup my homepage before the weekend.
