Extra Boy freezes VST scan

Hi,

I donloaded Extra Boy the other day and it didn't show up in REAPER.
When I do a VST scan in REAPER it hangs when it is scanning the extraboy dll and then after a bit closes.

I tried to use it in Cubase LE and it hung when it got to the Extra Boy dll also and then after a bit closed Cubase.

Is there some incompatibility with these apps?
I have a Q6600 running XP Pro
