Hi all,
Just wanted to let you know about my latest new piece of synthesizer music that I've just uploaded. It's been over a year since the last one, so I'm very happy to be producing stuff again.
Anyway, this is a pretty simple one, but I think it has a nice full sound and a pretty good thump, so here it is:
http://www.type34.info/temp/My%20Compos ... ic%204.mp3
It is the first piece I've started and finished in EnergyXT 2, rather than Reaper, which I usually use.
There will be copious virtual kudos for anyone who can guess what instrument I played the lead on . . .
Regards to all,
Daniel

Nice sounding, really cool elements in it. Reminds me a bit about Electrochoc if you know what I talk about. Really fresh sounds and I can definitly see me listening to this on my way to my job.

When I heard the first couple seconds I thought "Oh well not my cup of tea" but then I really started to like it. I dig the "chiptune" vibe. Cool stuff. Oh, and I think I wouldm't like to hear Gwen Stefani or the likes over it.

First of all, thanks to all for the compliments, and yes, I couldn't resist the Gary Numan intro.No_Use wrote:When I heard the first couple seconds I thought "Oh well not my cup of tea" but then I really started to like it.
Anyway, some details about the music:
The two bass parts are played on the EnergyXT synth, as are the strings. the arpeggios are MinimogueVA, and the drums are the EnergyXT drum sampler.
The synth solo is FreeAlpha. Most of the patches (except the drums) were made by me, at least in as much as I tweaked the presets to some extent; sometimes a very great extent, as in the case of the FreeAlpha solo, which started off as a bass preset.
As for the lead, it is a duet played on my two ancient hardware synths that I am very fond of. They are a Roland Super JV 1080, which I think is a brilliant synthesizer, and my Yamaha DX21 which I bought new in 1986, and which still has its original battery(!).
Regards,
Daniel

That's a nice one. But it would sure deserve some lyrics and a nice voice, that's true.

It may have taken you a year, but you sure come up with something good, very good actually. Will play this repeatedly!
