As its the third version of this thing

Basically:
- Sampletank
- Drumcore - Alan White loops
- a few loops for the dummy vocals; and
- a little bit of Linplug Crono

I'm quite pleased with the results, though it probably really needs proper vocals, still I present it for your delectation & comment.

Quite mellow, wasn't instantly hooked.. but when the sax comes in it starts to remind me of some jazz funk grooves.. nice pickup at 2:10.. good job :)

If you don't mind a couple of comments on the mix.. you have some really quite noticeable odd high resonance or something going on somewhere over 5khz (it sounds a bit like a squeeky door every now and again)...

More nitpicky, I thought the vocals need to come forward quite a lot, and the bass could drop back a little.

Cheers. All comments gratefully accepted (I'll regret that won't I) I'm still experimenting & learning

The squeaky thing is the Linplug patch - I need the check my monitoring as on my speakers it is not so noticeable. I could probably ditch or at least cut bits out of that line anyway. That or rearrange the mod wheel automation which has a bit to do with it

Bass - ah well I have found that with others - the perils of being a bass player and wanting to hear it :D

Actually, I like how the bass is upfront. :hihi:

Nice tune for sure, though it kinda ends too quick.

I like the tune and the driving bass line. Only one comment; The drums doun't sound like they are in the same space with the other instruments. Its not they they have more reverb, its that the reverb on the drums sounds like it is in a different space altogether.

Thanks for sharing this though.

Thanks for those.

Like I say all comments gratefully received as I am getting into this and have a couple of large remixes of old multitrack tapes to do (different thing to soft synths & loops I suppose, but every little helps).

I'll have to pay attention to the reverbs as they sit with everything else rather than adopt a "that works with that" at the expense of ignoring the whole.

Lengthwise they are bits of things I am working on and in a verse / chorus / verse layout I worry about repeating for the sake of it. I am working on lyrics across continents with a friend who emigrated a few years back, so perhaps one day....
