im new to cubase 5 and i need some help with these problems.

my reason of asking my questions in here is because cubase.net either taking ages to activate my account or i just dont know how im suppose to write in the usb key code.

well here are my questions:

- im on a dual screen setup and the windows keep resizing. how do i put an end to this. it is killing my work flow.

- why is mediabay soo slow when previewing samples. it is nothing as fast at the browse in NI battery or even FLstudio..

- how do i stop the key editor not to play any notes when i am manually clicking in the midi notes.

- anyone know why FLstudio delays the first hit when using it in cubase???

- is there a way to make the keyeditor midi notes FLAT. and not 3d?

- anyone know where i can find colour settings for cubase 5. im not really liking the RED in the key editor.

- is there a way to re-organise the plugins so it doesnt come in such a bad order. can it be in an alphabetical order???

please help me answer my questions people :help:

Dont maximize! :)

Just do a one time stretch of the main program window to cover the entire display area and your resizing problem will be gone.

Have you made an initial scan of your media drives/folders yet? should be rather fast after you have the files indexed.

Disable the 'Acoustic Feedback' button in the top left corner of the editor.

Look at the right end side of the key editor's tool bar. if its not there, right click on the tool bar to make sure its not hidden or something.

dunno about that (personally, I kind of like the way notes are more defined against the grid background... :P)

Well, you can make your own custom folder structure in the VST folder\s so they show up in the menu in the manner you like. alternatively, cubase can auto arrange the plugins menus by manufacturers (alphabetically). check the bottom section of the preference for this option.

Best,
midi.
