Run and Hide - vastly improved version :)

Hi all,

OK, sorry for the hyperbole in the subject, but I am really excited about this.

This is the latest version of Run and Hide, my synthpop song. I think it is an enormous improvement. It is also the first piece I've ever done that sounds exactly the way I envisioned it.

The improvements are in part due to some new equipment - new speakers, which allow me to actually hear more or less what's going on in the mix, and a new microphone, which although it doesn't actually make me a better singer, certainly does make mixing the voice easier.

I also tweaked the bass and added a new pad part.

Yes. Vocal is much clearer - as is just about everything else actually.

Lots of ping-ponging synths. Clever syncopation. Rich sounding mix. Might need more bass (not sure- I'm listening with headphones).

The bass sounded OK on my speakers but I am never sure about what is "right"
