Hi Everyone,
There's some new news on the Wavelore front! First off, the long-awaited version 2.5 update to the Kontakt edition of the Wavelore Pedal Steel Guitar is now available! If you are a Pedal Steel Guitar owner, you can upgrade for free by sending a request to support@wavelore.com . New customers will automatically recieve this version - no need to upgrade later. Note: If you send your request from an e-mail address other than the one you used to make your original purchase, it will help us confirm your ownership if you include either the address originally used, or the transaction ID that was sent to you by PayPal as part of your order confirmation. The new update contains a couple of important bugfixes, as well as several great new features like keyswitchable neck positions, amp tremolo, automatic neck position selection, and traditional sustain pedal implementation. Read all about it here. Also noteworthy (for users who stuggle with the instrument's unconventional design, or folks who are afraid to invest in the instrument due to it's complexity) is the all-new 70-page manual featuring over twenty video/performance demonstrations and seventy-five color-coded keyboard diagrams representing the per-string ranges of each string in all twenty five positions. You can read the manual and view the video examples and diagrams here. Those of you who are still on the fence over whether or not to purchase a Wavelore product may benefit from the next two pieces of news: We've seen a lot of folks hankering to read reviews of the Pedal Steel Guitar in order to hear an un-biased opinion of it's quality. We are proud to report that Sound on Sound Magazine has given the Wavelore Pedal Steel Guitar 5 Stars in their December issue review! We're not allowed to reprint the entire review, but here's a snippet: "The library includes plenty of MIDI expression options....Wavelore deserve their five stars, both for daring to be different, and for the careful thought that has gone into the construction." SOS subscribers can read the entire review at http://www.soundonsound.com/sos/dec09/articles/wavelorepedal steel.htm . Visit our testimonials page for more of what users are saying: Last but not least, all of this news is reason to celebrate, so we're having a holiday sale! From now until December 25th, 2009, you can get any Wavelore Product for 20% off, any two products for 30% off, or buy all three for 40% off! Visit our shop to take advantage of our holiday bundle deals! To top that off, any participants in this past summer's Pedal Steel Guitar group buy who have not redeemed their 25%-off offer on the American Zither can add that savings to this deal! This means that eligible customers can recieve 45% off on the American Zither for Kontakt! That's a total cost of $82.49! If you choose to buy the American Zither/XpanDrum bundle, the discount is still applicable on top of the 30% savings for the bundle - $130.48 for two great Kontakt libraries! If you're a group-buy participant and would like to avail of this kind of offer, just send a request, and we'll send you a paypal link! Many thanks for your support, and Happy Holidays everyone |

Hi Guys,
Thanks a lot! I've been sort of ill over the past week (nothing serious, but crappy timing for getting updates and PP links out in a timely fashion). I sent out a mail list with the update link - I wish to keep it private because of a proliferation of pirated copies of late. If you're a customer and did not recieve this e-mail, please check your spam folder! If you got your copy from some illegitimate source, PLEASE condsider that not all developers are rich companies - we can't afford to keep this work up unless people pay us to do so, and the rewards for doing so are many (Not that it's any more forgivable to steal from the bigger companies, of course)! Kind regards to all, and follow-up e-mails are in the works:) Mark p.s. - There was a lot of semi-finished and very advanced code commented out of the 2.5 script in order to make a release - already in progress, once it's unlocked and expanded this instrument will take another great leap foreward! |

Woo hoo, thanks for the update Mark, this will keep getting better.
Zither to be added for me when I get home and purchase. Any chance you might consider sharing some demo midi files to go with the tutorials on Pedal Steel? Good to know you're health is on the up again! Don |

Has anyone received any responses from Mark/Wavelore in the last week or so?
I've pinged emails & PMs but nothing back for a while ... Was hoping to buy Zither. Don |
