Sound crash in FL Studio with ManyGuitar. (Solved)

I've used MG a few hours now, and I gotta say I love it! Only a problem: It crashes the sound in FL Studio 9. It doesn't crash the program, but the sound stops working, and I have never had this issue with any of the internal plugins or any VST plugins I've used.

When does it crash? When changing soundsets or what? More info please.
Manyguitar has not had any bug reports at all for years now so I do know it is very stable. I use it myself in FL Studio without any issues but have not installed FL Studio ver 9 yet.
Anytime there was a crash it was usually because the user had a soundset missing or a soundset that did not download completely for them. When trying to load a corrupt soundset it could cause a crash. Can you tell if it is a particular soundset?
Edit: Also, if you can please try another host to test if it also happens there.

Thanks for your response. Yes the problem lies within changing the soundeffects and sometimes when placing notes in the piano roll. I'm using version 1.04 of ManyGuitar. I dunno if this is a severe bug, but one thing is for sure: It is a bit annoying.

I need to know if you tried this in another host or 2?
As mentioned above there are no bug reports at all for ManyGuitar and this version has been out for a long time.
Also you said soundeffects. I had said the soundsets. Is the crash happening when changing out soundsets or presets (which also change the soundset)?
We should take this to email though to try and solve your issue. Maybe we'll go over files sizes once you tell me if you can try in other hosts. If it crashes in other hosts it could be your file sizes for the soundsets (incomplete download).
I will also try to get FLStudio 9 going here so I can try to replicate in it. It works flawlessly in version 8.

I don't know if this is related and don't remember whether ManyGuitar uses the Wusik engine. I had similar problems with Wusikstation where the sound no longer emits in FL 9+ after awhile. This may be fixed in V6 beta. Just thought there could be a relationship to Wusik.

I'm running ManyGuitar in Renoise and having no issues with it there. So me thinks either it could be a wusik issue. Or it could be an issue within FL Studio.

ManyGuitar does not use the wusik engine. Although it loads wusik soundsets the engine is different.jobromedia wrote:I'm running ManyGuitar in Renoise and having no issues with it there. So me thinks either it could be a wusik issue. Or it could be an issue within FL Studio.
It sounds like an issue with the new FLStudio ver9. But I still have yet to try ver 9. Perhaps they broke something with their update. I'll get back to you once I get a chance to download and install it.
The fact that all works fine in Renoise and all other hosts, leads to that thought anyways. If any other ManyGuitar and FLStudio 9 users can also have a look it would be appreciated.
