Not sure if that is what I'm looking for, so I want to make the silent parts of the song even more silent (without a need of editing) and that calls for a de-expander I guess.

I searched but couldn't find, is there a company besides flux that has a plug-in?

You could use the MCompressor as a noise gate. Anything below a certain volume can be muted or lowered.

I think it is what a capable expander can do.
Also, any compressor with "drawable" curve, like BlueCat Dynamics, JB Red Phatt, Acon Compressor... You can set one point which will increase the gain, and another one which will make it quieter below a certain point.
There are several free ones.
In Reaper, i am using Stillwell expander for that (and, wrapped in ReaJS, you can use it also in your usual host for free).
