more or less completed wavetract, maybe a few improvements here and there left to make. again at most i'm only moving one param at a time.

that's real evil! in the dark i'm such a trip! yeah, yeah!

the page i snagged this image from doesn't seem to be working atm:

i sorta like this conception as it depicts them as refined, civilisation-capable things. i do want it to sing. and oc it won't be in mono.
This is a member of the Elder Race as mentioned in HP's At The Mountains of Madness. They were certainly civilised but their civilisation was destroyed by their own creation, the abominable Shoggoths!!

it's been a long time since i read atmom et al, there's some agreemant that this species was referenced by both titles..
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Elder_Thing
The Elder Things (also known as the Old Ones[1] and Elder Ones[2])
The term "Old Ones" is ambiguous in the Cthulhu Mythos and can also refer to the Great Old Ones, a separate group of beings described as being enemies of the Elder Things in At the Mountains of Madness.
2.^ In At the Mountains of Madness, Professor Lake dubs the specimens he discovers "Elder Ones" in reference to the Elder Things of the Necronomicon, unaware that they are actually the same beings.

perhaps i ought to contact chaosium premptively :p

okay..
if you want to use this plugin please try this 'beta:'

this is just the newer graphic envelope module assigned to pitch of a sawtooth. please load it in your host and let me know if it crashes or not :) being able to include these graphic envelopes will substantially improve the utility of this "instrument" :) thanks :)

Hi Rurik,

did a quick test of the beta in Orion8, EXT 1.4.1, Reaper and FLStudio (QuadCore Intel win7 home) -- all systems go fine! No crashes, works like a beauty. Will try more, report if any problems occur.

I was quite surprised many years ago to learn that its just DMT. They just do something to it so you can ingest it.
I was a little disappointed to learn that actually.
Not that DMT is anything to sniff at or is on every corner.
But I had just somehow fallen for the mystique of the concept of a faraway jungle drug that would open my mind...
Now Salvia; that is something interesting! Chemicals like no other! Something 'new'.
I think Im too old though...

I will report back on this eve.

Smooth as butter!
Win7 64
FLStudio 9.1 and 9.9.2 beta
FLS told me 35 of them ate 250MB.
:)
Then, I loaded 5 more and put them all in a layer channel, and held down ten keys.
Strangely, the cpu meter stood motionless and stoic.

I guess this was just a graphics test though huh?

Reaper 3.75/64, Win7/64, 4 GB RAM, Phenom II 555 dual core.

Loads up just fine. No idea what all the commands are (and I also keep trying to right-click to bring up the menu ;) ).

groovy! :)

it's been a few years sinc ei looked at it.. i probably have to activate the menu usage options before it's compiled. as long as it doesn't crash when you load it, we're looking good.

anyone else? crashing due to ck_gui_envelope messages? (look for the large print above)

Got it on my Sonar X1..so far no crashes or glitches even.

Did the same with it in Reaper and VSTHost...

I'm running this on a Centrino Duo laptop with 4 Gb ram...

no ck_gui issues here....

I would be very careful about this, I was experimenting with non-euclidean vocal tracts and somehow managed to create a virtual shoggoth, and the darn thing can only say "Tekeli-li" !

Anyway, back to the vocoder for Yuggothian Brain Cylinders, but what is that sound, God, that hand! The window! The window...

Notes from a journal: Besides the smoking remains of an antique vocoder the grizzly remains of some indeterminate organic mass lay slumped in the corner. Was it a man? If so, what force could so reduce a man to such a state. My mind rebelled at such speculation. I fled that scene of horror by the open window...

You realize, of course, that the phrase 'Tekeli-li' is only a very rough approximation of the language being used? The very sound of which has been known to drive men insane with fear....

Oh no!! The black nightened wings!! Titan blur!! ....
