not sure what this could be used for?

like a collectors edition plugin

considering that only Queenie is alive, trying to use the male versions will just give a silent output

My first thoughts went to Antares and their Microphone modeller - a bit sad Waves didn't put up any sound examples.

HARDWARE SAMPLER FANATIC - Akai S1100/S950/Z8 - Casio FZ20m - Emu Emax I - Ensoniq ASR10/EPS

the thing is... how does it know which mic we use to start with? It doesn't really make sense to me... unless, yes, the way antares was using...
It's not what you use, it's how you use it...

Very interesting, definitely was not expecting these.
Has anybody ever really been far even as decided to use even go want to do look more like?

Granted, it would have been really cool to find those, historically.

But to model them? Based on what, "bling" appeal?

Based on they might be the most esoteric microphones that exist?

Made specifically to make very specific people sound good, is certainly that, true.

So... looks like (condenser) microphones with "coal" based capsules bundled in a VST plugin... Would about fit the look of these things as well.

Barely any info, so I was thinking of "Antares" first myself. I'm curious what this thing actually really is: IRs? Algo? Voodoo?

Sure miss a "hound of baskerville" mode. *cough*

Actually, only Queen Elisabeth II is (still) alive. The "virgin queen" died in 1603, way before microphones like ths were built.

Unless "the doctor" paid a visit and left some stuff...

I read the thread title and thought it was going to be Elvis Presley's Mic.......... :dog:

I literally thought it was going to be the mic used by the play by play announcer for the Kings basketball team, maybe back when they were still in Kansas City.

Not The Doctor. However, there is some evidence that the Queen's advisor, Dr John Dee, attempted to construct a theurgical / alchemical ribbon microphone. Most portraits of Elizabeth I show her wearing ribbons, so we can be certain half the formula was completed.

P.S.: Yes, the finished capsule would have been Hermetically Sealed. Seven times.

Frankly, I found this hilarious.

Note to Abbey Road/EMI:

I love your plugins. Next time, how about a true, historically accurate ADT?

Note to Meffy: well played, sir, well played. :D
