I sent a note to the user group but got no reply.

I'm trying to set up LMMS on Windows XP but it does not recognize my ASIO card or my MIDI interface.

Am I limited to the selections in the audio/midi settings screens of LMMS?

It seems like the app should let you add your own devices.

OOPs! edit, sorry, you asked about interfaces, I replied about plugins :(

(1st cup-a-joe, I'll reload )

"On the Windows version of LMMS, VST and VSTi plugins work perfectly"

I try the linux version every 6 months or so, and it's never lasted
long enough before crashing, to learn the gui, and I've little time
to beta test. Hopefully the windows version is more stable. I think I
would go with MUX instead, if I ever figure out how to install
30 hour days

from their troubleshooting page,

"First off, make sure in settings, you have "SDL," for sound, and "not portaudio."
If you have Portaudio, the chances are, you won't get any sound in Lmms."

This one mentions a convoluted successful path to detecting the midi device.

Thanks much for info and links. I hope I can get it to work. The import of .flp files and some other cool things have me interested.

I don't know anything about MUX. I'll need to search it out.
