I like how you subscribe to Reaper ethos with your discounted licence and upgrades for two major releases policy I'll be purchasing this I think. Nice! |

Surround support might come further on, but is not scheduled in the 2.0 time frame, sorry. For those needs I suggest using the host mixer to place individual outputs properly in the mix. More automation parameters is scheduled for the next beta drop. Cheers |

Maybe my skull is very dense but i get version 1.0.07 when i download version 2 from http://www.tx16wx.com/downloads
it says "TX16Wx Software Sampler 2.0.0 b12 Setup (Win32).msi" I've downloaded twice now just to make sure ---- Mulab-MUX-Diversion-TX16Wx-SKNOTE-Charlatan-Valhalla-GordonSmith-YamahaTHR10-Trackspacer-TheDrop/Glue-Drumaxx-VOS-DC8C [i5 2500K @ 4,3GHz] [8Gb DDR3] [200Gb+ SSD][M-Audio Delta 24/96 PCI] |

Congratulations! I foresee this as becoming the sampler that will blow all other low cost (or even free) samplers away!
Goodbye to: Directwave (good riddance!) Shortcircuit DS-404 Paax Highlife etc... Also, with it's awesome serial-only protection, fair low price, 32bit/64bit capability, completely open sampling format, capability to import SF2 and SFZ formats, AND the ability to ACTUALLY SAMPLE (unlike most "sample players"), every other budget (or Free) sampler is going to be in major trouble!! --Sean ---- C/R, dongles & other intrusive copy protection equals less-control & more-hassle for consumers. Company gone-can’t authorize. Limit to # of auths. Instability-ie PACE. Forced internet auths. THE HONEST ARE HASSLED, NOT THE PIRATES. |

it says "TX16Wx Software Sampler 2.0.0 b12 Setup (Win32).msi" I've downloaded twice now just to make sure I'm sorry, but at least from here (using various browsers) it downloads fine, and correct versions. "TX16Wx Software Sampler 2.0.0 b12 Setup (Win32).msi" is the correct (for Win32) file name. And from here at least the content looks right (there is no 1.0.7 download from the website at all so...) |

Lets stay a bit calmer hehe It has a bunch of missing features and the GUI is rather clunky at the moment.. 2012 leaving slicing to an algo and not being able to move markers in to place by hand is a no no Root key not being next to range keys but on a completely different page of the UI again a no no No mention of round robin (Maybe in the etc...) No mention of direct from disk So far it is very much like short circuit 2 (Not really a step up from short circuit 1 but a blingier UI) I know a whole lot of content suppliers that have been waiting for v2, but the features they wanted have been lost somewhere, so lets calm down a little and let the dev catch up with what he needs to do to make this a viable commercial product (Right now it isn't but that is the point of betas anyway |

You can edit slices manually as much as you like. You can also pin slices to preserve specific slices (note that this currently only preserves slice start though - perhaps a flaw) adevg wrote: Root key not being next to range keys but on a completely different page of the UI again a no no Root keys are accessible from either the key mapper (keyboard), group list (below) or directly in the sample (sample editor). I.e pretty much from whereever you happen to be editing. adevg wrote: No mention of round robin (Maybe in the etc...) No mention of direct from disk Round robin will be a subset of the advanced trigger definitions of TX16Wx Pro. I have repeatedly made clear that I don't particularly approve of direct-from-disk. This is not a player instrument, esp. not a direct from disk player. /C |

Root keys are only accessable via the keyboard if first set in the sample editor, then the root key is no longer playable on the keyboard only selectable for movement of the root key.
I did read the manual 7.5.1.2 Beat Slicer Uses transient detection to slice waveform data into parts based on rhythmic content - also known as loop slicing. This is typically used to cut a drum loop into parts of a single hit, which can then be mapped to keys and replayed through MIDI. Threshold - sets the beat detection threshold, determining how prominent a transient must be to warrant slicing Cutoff - sets the cutoff frequency for transient detection, limiting the analysis to frequencies below this value. Slice button - activates slicer o Once activated, you can adjust the threshold and cutoff parameters to tune the slicing until you get the desired result. o Turn of the slice button to finalize the result No mention of manually moving slice start end points and i haven't been able to do so yet either, so please explain ? |

Aha, some sample formats are not creating a root key when drag dropped, will narrow it down and send you one that doesn't |

Also as you can see some sample files are not showing the entire sample (Notice the part missing at the end) Do you have a forum to report this stuff or just want it all here ? |
