>>> TPC-01 DOWNLOAD <<<
(please see the Submission Thread for more details).
Download Tyrell N6 here: PC and MAC

VOTING DEADLINE IS MAY 30 2011, 14:00 UTC

Voting rules:

  • TPC-01 has one simple rule; submit any preset for Tyrell N6.
  • All votes are appreciated, and however one decides which patches stand out is the right way. A little feedback explaining votes is very welcome as well, just keep it short and to the point.
  • The presets have not been normalized and are presented to you as they were submitted. It's up to you, the voters, to decide if a preset appeals to you (clipping, too quiet, or just right).
  • Results will be tabulated one week from the date of this post when the poll stops running.
  • The preset awarded the most overall points wins. Best of luck to all the entrants!

Patch authors:
Please post your numbered voting selections as replies in this thread. Please no hinting or saying which preset(s) are yours. Let's keep it anonymous until voting is closed. As a patch author you must vote, and you are not allowed to vote for your own preset(s)!

Everyone else:
Anyone is welcome to vote and if you wish to do so, please post your (numbered) place selections from this set in this thread.

Point Value:
Points are awarded by voters in the following manner:

  1. 1st Place -> 5 points
  2. 2nd Place -> 4 points
  3. 3rd Place -> 3 points
  4. 4th Place -> 2 points
  5. 5th Place -> 1 point
If you prefer, you can use a simpler method of voting where points are awarded as follows:

  1. 1st Place -> 5 points
  2. 2nd Place -> 4 points
  3. 3rd Place -> 3 points
Votes by patch authors and everyone else are weighed equally.

Results:
The winning patch author will receive their choice of 1 free u-he NFR (not for resale) software product. All patches submitted will be pubilically posted on the u-he Patch Library.

As ever thanks to bmrzycki for running this end of the show!

Wow! Great turn out! Have we beaten the record we set with the Bazille contest? It must be close.

EDIT: Just had a quick audition of the patches and there are some *very* nice patches in there. The overall quality of the patches is, IMO, the highest yet for any u-he patch contest!

A close contest I reckon.

Oh, and welcome to all the new faces. Smile

And, for everyone's attention, I've just announced next month's contest. See here:

ZPC#15 - Drum Kit In A Patch

^ Hmm... yes, I think I'll give that a go.

Hoping that DIVA might have a modelled vintage chorus or two (Juno, Solina,..)?

I notice that someone has subconsciously pinched one of my Synth1 patch names! HiHi Of course, it may just be a coincidence...

Not that I'm bothered either way. I've done it myself, more than once!

Strange, what's my name doing in that list?

I didn't submit any patches, that's for sure. Did someone actually send in one of my older sounds, or what? Gotta look into that...

Laughing really? I was checking out the patches and already had a hunch what might be your entries.

I haven't checked the presets yet but some people might have opened one of your patches to get the VCA:Pan modulation (I think some of your factory patches use it).

Then they somehow forgot to delete your name from the preset data.

Cheers
Dennis

Found an odd behavior with Tyrell.

do this:
-Select "FX Binar Man"
-Select evey next patch till you reach "HARPSINETTE" and play it.
-In order that Harpsinette to act like it should (polyphonic) you must change to another mode and back again.

I think that the bug is related with the stereo voice structure (VCA1:Pan for exemple, used in "FX Binar Man") and the voice mode.

I'm using Tyrell v. 1.0.1 on WinXP with FL Studio 10.

Same here! In fact, more than a hunch - I would have put money on one of them...

Yep - I've experienced this quite a few times. Changing patches Tyrell occasionally gets stuck in mono mode.

Noted 20 patches as favorites for consideration ... well 22 if you include mine Very Happy
Don't wanna rush with my votes but anyway making a fair decision is gonna be harder than ever!

Didn't expect such great diversity of patches.
I love this synth... it's my fave software synth atm! Smile
I simply can't wait much longer for DIVA!!!

HiHi So DIVA better show up with skins for every synth it will mimic... or else! Cool
