I started off with an understanding of how to make the computer output sound. Then I learned about how to load wave files and the like and successfully play them. I then created waves empirically and hit the wall when I heard the aliasing! I thought I had it all down but I had no clue about how to properly produce an anti-aliased waveform.

Please note that this information may seem very obvious to those who are experienced with creating synths; however, I'm in my infancy with respect to sound synthesis and figured that others may be interested in this read:

It's the first Google hit from looking up BLIT bandlimited impulse train... :)

But I honestly don't care about how green this makes me look. :oops:

For all you noobs out there navigating the interwebs, I must truly say that what worked for me was to find an implementation of one, code it, hear it, and then finally re-read the article above.
