Any reasonably priced convolution reverbs out there (free/paywere)? The key for me is CPU consumption. Obviously the lower the better Smile

Looking forward to your opinions.

I love WizzoVerb W2 and W5...

Still use them from time to time...

I think that the best solution these days is ValhallaRoom...

It's algorithmic and it's sensational Love

One of the things I loved about the Wizoo reverb was its ability to add a little algorithmic flair to IRs, which is why I added something similar to Reverberate, and I also think this has one of the lowest CPU consumption figures going as well. There is a charityware version too if your needs are for just a basic convolution reverb.

But then I am totally biased Smile

I have Native Instruments Reflektor... I cannot say that I love it, but I have always used Algoruthmic ones that allow things to float in some weird alien space scene.

try for free! TAL reverb-3 http://kunz.corrupt.ch/products/tal-reverb

followed by a chorus plugin in the SEND-chain. MIX: about 20 to 30%

thanks again for giving good ideas. actually lexicon's sound is not my favourite tbh. it's too... thick for my taste. maybe plugs sound different but name lexicon triggers that thinking in my head. the bottom line is that the price tag is also not well suited to my financial possibilities.

so list to check for me:

reverberate
tal
reflector

Well, the TAL is nice, but it's a plate reverb Smile

+1 for Reverberate... I consider it one of the best convolution reverbs out there, at any price. Great routing, true stereo and useful chorus, delay and post-EQ facilities (some features are obviously missing in Core and LE versions).

If you get into a convolution reverb that supports true stereo, make sure you try out the Samplicity M7 IRs, they're fantastic.

I can't believe we are talking about convolutiuon reverbs here, and Altiverb has not been mentioned yet. What's up?

Altiverb 7 is without peer if you like convo, in both it's library and it's ease of use and gui and overall features. Sorry, not even reverberate is as good because altiverb just is much more fun and pleasant to use, that said it is 10 times the price.

But for a wizoo alternative, which was hybrid, why not try the virsyn reflect which is also a hybrid?
