I've moved to a totally 64bit monster and completely forgot about Gforce stuff being 32bit still (I have Oddity, Minimonsta and impOscar 1, never bothered to upgrade, sounds great as it is ).

I don't wanna mess the system up with jBridge (I use Presonus S1 v2).

Any news on that?

Just FYI, I'm using the beta 0.6 version of J-Bridge for Mac in Studio One v2, and Oddity, impOSCar v1, M-Tron Pro and String Machine (and a whole bunch of other old 32-bit stuff) are running great...

Any users on a PC doing the same in S1?

I've been wondering this for awhile too. Their FAQ still says they were starting to port VSM and M-Tron Pro to 64-bit in 2011, but here we are 4 months into 2012 with nothing new on the subject.

Sucks, because I'd love to get Oddity but don't want to keep stocking up on 32-bit plugs.

True, their FAQ still says they are in the process of going to 64-bit, but the M-Tron Pro product page said it's 64-bit now.

I just went 64-bit with my DAW of choice, and realized M-Tron was a 32-bit plug-in that was at a dead end—they have no intentions of upgrading it to 64-bit, since that product has been replaced by M-Tron Pro. Soooo...I buy M-Tron Pro...download the plug-in (Mac version) successfully, then click to download its sound library. Spinning...their website has crashed (might have been the SQL database crashing on the request, taking down the web server?). It's been hours (night time in the UK, I suppose they'll fix it in the morning). A little annoying to spend that kind of money for something you already have (but in 32-bit version only), expecting instant gratification...

Please let us know about M-Tron Pro if it is indeed functioning at 64 bit now. I was interested in picking it up, but only if it's 64 bit.

OK, I had to wait a day till it was business hours in the UK and they fixed their website crash...downloaded the M-Tron Pro library...

Does not work in 64-bit, or at least my host ignores it.

Nope. Pretty annoying.

It fired up just fine in a 32-bit host. On first run through it's a pretty nice upgrade, except for the fact I won't be able to use it.

Accoridng to their site, M-Tron Pro is still 32-bit. It says it "works with 64bit operating systems and hosts", but not that it's 64-bit itself.

In fact, all their instruments appear to say that.

Well, if that's what they mean, it's pretty misleading. They said it works with 64-bit hosts. They didn't say 64-bit hosts that support 32-bit plug-ins. I entered a support ticket, but the time difference between here and the UK meant that they got it at the end of their day.

Upon bringing the compatibility page up again, I see further down the page, "M-Tron Pro is a 32-bit instrument which comes in the following formats:...". Pretty misleading to say, "M-Tron Pro works with 64bit operating systems and hosts." First thing on that page—I stopped reading there yesterday. In their FAQ, they said they were working on converting it to 64-bit in 2011—it can't be that difficult.

I agree, it is very misleading. I don't know why they wouldn't try and convert everything ASAP. They are losing a lot of new business and it's bad PR. I have VSM Strings but got tired of waiting for them to upgrade it, so I bought Loomer String (I think it's quite a bit better anyway, although if I would've known UVI String Machines was coming out I may have waited a bit to see how that turned out). Anyway, they've really dropped the ball on this 64 bit development. Are you going to ask for a refund? Let us know how it turns out!

Thanks for the mention of the VSM alternatives, donato. I'd been thinking about VSM myself, as I used an Elka Rhapsody waaay back in my progrock days (pre-polysynth), and sometimes consider redoing a few tunes but staying true to the sound—will look closely at the UVI in particular, since it has the Elka.

We need 64 bit versions as quickly as possible. Sonar x64 sometimes crashes when using imPOScar2.

Things like this make me wish bit bridges never came out at all. They've never worked well for me but they seem to be an ultimate excuse by developers for not developing 64-bit versions of existing plugins. (Hello Korg?)
