c'mon, somebody must know how to do this...
i have an emu esi...fitted an internal zip in the front
bay. but to do this i removed the back/rear scsi connector
from the motherboard connector, which is now attached to the zip.
the scsi cable has three head/ers. its middle connector is now to
the motherboard, but the spare is female and so is the in from the
rear connector. must i modify the 3way scsi cable and the rear scsi
input? eg: cut off the end connector and fit it to the rear scsi
port? how is this done? i tried using 2-sided header pins, for a
temp/semi-permanent fix, but don't rememeber this working.
can i just open up the rear scsi installation and fit the 3-way cable
onto it? what are the termination rules in this case?
eg: i want a front internal scsi zip, AND keep the rear scsi for other
scsi devices.
(yeah, i know, get a e4, but this is what i have here - and its ok)

if the zip works, and has a port to daisy chain another device, it
might be worth trying that.

what other scsi devices do you want to use? a dvd/cd reader for samples?
www.amiga.org has a good remnant of scsi users with Amiga computers,
who could help.

in fact i found just the thing a little while ago,
let me see if i can find the page again...but in essence,
if you get a 3 connector scsi cable and a new centronics
connector, you can clamp it in and cut off the old connector,
and it works, apparently, eg: nice bit of DIY.
