You hear 2 bass tones; one is from an original Moog Minitaur, one is from a plugin I am working on.

Have a guess....

The first one sounds "better" to me because the resonance is more attached to the sound and it's less steppy.

I have no idea which one is the plugin and which one is the hardware though.

I find the 1st one to be tighter and rounds up pretty nice as the filter closes.
My guess is that the 1st is the hardware.

I assumed that the one which sounds better is Minotaur and voted for 1st...although I have no idea how Minotaur sounds.

The conditions for the test are not exactly the best...
If it means anything to you, in our opinion example 2 is much better:
more beautiful resonance (particularly at the end)
more gentle and natural line
more beautiful wave shape
more quality and affluence
more ....

It would be very typical to show the hardware already created in the first place, so you did it in the second place to confuse listeners. Re-twist the twist!

But since it's so typical to show the hardware first, then wouldn't people often use the software first, seeing as it's the most obvious way to confuse listeners?

Or did he know this, so instead of first, it was second, but since he knew we would know, he put it first?
