a rhino situation

I didn't use Rhino and music software in general for a while, I was browsing some old projects and I've got myself in trouble.

So I've got a song with rhino on one track, it plays but rhino part sounds awful. If I try to invoke rhino GUI, I get the DAW crash. I try to delete rhino from the project - crash. I try to load standalone version - message "can't find specified file" (translation, so it gotta be windows message) and then crash. Tried reinstalling, no change.

I found that deleting "tmp.sav" file from rhino folder helps a bit, that is I can load standalone version and I can load vsti to new project and it works, but if I load that older song I get to the starting point of all-around crash.

This is not pretty. Possibly you guys have some workaround suggestions? Or I have to kiss goodbye all songs I used this feral synth on? Someone mentioned 2.09 version worked better?
