Hey Guys,
Any recommendation of a book that shows block diagrams of certain effects. For example like a pitch shifter or reverb units. I've been looking through the Kurzweil KSP8 manual and seeing how the algorithms are created, but some of the more complex ones are missing.
Any good book on how effects are implemented? I plan on using Reaktor to make a half decent effects rack, I have been going through the Reaktor modules as well, but all the wires make my head hurt.
I did find this book:
http://books.google.com/books?id=sSCqcQ ... r_versions
But something simpler?
Thanks!
Block Diagrams / Overview of Effect Implementation.

Curtis Roads' Computer Music Tutorial is a great reference for such things. He presents the fundamental/canonical principles of digital signal processing in a straightforward manner.
Roads' Microsound does the same for granular processing.
Definitely more old school, but Allen Strange's "Electronic Music:
Systems, Techniques, and Controls" is IMO the best reference for how effects were implemented in the analog days.
