Just came back from a holiday in the place where I was raised - Malta. Whilst at my parents, I tried to fire up my XP50, which I've owned for 16 years and has been dormant for 8, but no sound is coming out, whilst the floppy wasn't at its best the last time it was working. Some of the buttons are stuck, and the alpha dial ain't too responsive either.
Who do you suggest I should take it to for a full-on restoration/repair? I'm starting to miss it!
Looking for someone in the UK that can restore/repair my Roland XP50...

Here's a photo of the rare-ish 1974 Roland SH-3 that Jeff repaired for me early last summer (cost approx £300 for whole thing to be cleaned up and re-sprayed etc)

The closest I got to anything synth over here in Cambridge was when I attended Synth DIY 2012 about 3 weeks ago. Suffice to say that the thought didn't cross my mind, and I got lost talking to Olivier from Mutable after hearing his new Ambika synth, which is mental!

Thanks for the advice Whitemetz. As much as I would like to investigate myself, I'll admit that I don't trust myself when it comes to anything that involves circuits and a soldering iron, so checking my XP50 out with a repair service prior to taking it out to one of the big boys is a good idea - any suggestions?
Tried the Panic Music website, but to no avail. Synthrestore are pretty close by, and I'm initially impressed by what I see. Come December, I'm gonna get that XP50 to the UK...
