Decent quality, flexible pianos for under 100 euros?

I am aware of Pianoteq Play, which sounds pretty cool and I could use the vibraphone extension in the future.

I also noticed that Tonehammer just released the Montclarion piano, which sounds really good.

Any others I should be aware of before I make my decision? I'm not looking for a huge, multi-gigabyte library with 128 velocity layers and the performer's breath on demand. Just a nice, quality piano for (mainly) pop/rock and (sometimes) classical music.

i've got pianissimo and really like it. that being said, i'm not much of a piano player and don't know if there is a playability sacrifice at that price point... i don't notice any.

I haven't really messed with PianoTeq, but the arguments here rage back and forth about whether PT or TP are the bestest pianos evah.....

I really like the feel of TP. Unlike with all the sample-sets I've acquired over the years, it feels like I'm playing an instrument, rather than triggering samples. ....Not that I actually have any keyboard skillz to speak of...

I do have Jamstix and TruePianos sounds great. However, Pianoteq is more appealing due to its ability to be extended.

Once in a mix it always needs to be eq'ed to properly fit in. Turn down the other instrumentation and you're left with a sound that maybe reminiscent of almost, but not quite, entirely unlike tea.

I mean piano.

If it's a solo piano in a newage mix with echo/reverb subtley filling the space then listen to Eno/Budd's The Pearl (there's a copy on Pirate Bay for you to experience before buying) to appreciate the different methods eq and synth effects can enhance the sound and worry not the quality of the original samples - a two dollar opshop acoustic guitar can sound as good as a $2000 K-yairi or even Fender Stratocaster with the right effects and fiddling.

you are monumentally wrong about a $2 guitar with "eq and effects" sounding like a high end instrument. there is a differnce between making something work and working with a beautiful acoustic instrument.

Too late! I already bought it!

TBH I have a lot of free pianos, especially soundfonts (also the Kontakt 3 piano that IMHO doesn't sound acceptable even in a full mix, I prefer to use free soundfonts instead of that TBH - so sterile and non-expressive) but none of them sound as good as Pianissimo to me. Sometimes you got to pay for something that adds just a little bit more to what you already have and I'm happy to do it.

I'm under no delusions that my music will suddenly sound more "pro" and expensive now that I have purchased a commercial piano. But it may inspire me a little bit more than the ones I already have. I mean, it does sound great and better than anything I have right now.
