Not sure if they officially spoke to it but it eventually became clear through back channels that the guy said something he shouldn't have said but people keep repeating it anyway. I do think at the time he said it he probably thought that was the case so I don't think he was being dishonest.SWallace wrote:Ah nice, thanks Lawrence. Never heard their official response. This is why many companies have official spokespersons, to have a unified message and to avoid that type of confusion. Anyone at a trade show talking to the press or the public like that should probably have a literal list of things to say and not say.
It was (apparently) just an honest mistake, maybe a "brain fart" of sorts.
