Upgrade from Cubase Studio 4 to Cubase 6/Cubase 7?

Hi,
I have Cubase Studio 4 and was thinking of upgrading.
My questions are as follows:

1. Is there any info or speculations about when Cubase 7 will be released?
2. Do you think it will have major upgrades from Cubase 6.5 or not that big of a deal?
3. Speculation on upgrade pricing from previous versions of Cubase (Studio).
4. Today, I can get for $200 an upgrade from Cubase Studio 4 to the full Cubase 6 and another $50 or so for the 6.5 upgrade. Will it be wiser to wait for Cubase 7 or will then the upgrade price for Cubase 6 will not be available anymore?

i went the same route - CS 4 > C 6 > C 6.5

i would say that 7 will be:

1. soon, like within 9 months
2. not much $$, but hopefully significant good functions that we will want later
3. $249 - $299
4. they will not try to screw you - they will keep it so that you will not be jipped - you will be offered grace discounts if you buy at the worst time - you probably won't be able to buy 6 anymore - all upgrades will lead to 7 if i am correct. but, the price will be very similar to 6 if not the same.

option on the
shop page for C7. Only from the full version of Cubase 4.

Can anyone confirm this?

I'm logged in, yet they let me add any of the options to the basket without
checking what I'm upgrading from. I don't want to take a chance at buying an upgrade that I'm not entitled to.

Do not do that, the serial you get will only update the specific product it is meant to in the 'e-license centre' when you connect the usb to the internet...

I.e. it will not work...

Yes, I guess the last possibility to upgrade from the Studio versions was with 6.5.
Wish I realized that a few months back.
