I love 303's power.

Edit: TracerX03 Rev.1(aka Remix/additions)

A new kick and some "vocals". Thanks for the suggestions, guys!

Nice track. That bass synth sound certainly contains a lot of motion. I'm not so sure about the kick. I would have liked a harder, less "flappy" sound, but that's probably my own listening preference. I can't really say for sure until I have turned the volume up. I'm off to play with some automation on one of my 303 VSTis.

Good work Smile

on the kick, i was thinking the same thing as seismic1, only 'flopping' instead of 'flappy'.

definitely enjoying all of the movement in the bass.

for a club, this would be a really cool part of a dj set. maybe add in a voice sample or two here or there.

Thanks Smile I'm pretty sure, I'll do another mix. It seems to be much louder, then any thing else I've done for a while, but I did not mean to get it loud, hmmm, happy accident Smile

Cool vox, Scott, and that kick sounds a lot tighter now.

Thanks Smile, Yeah, I like the kick, a little better, but it doesn't cut through the same as before, I'll work with the volumes more on the next version.

EQ? Layering? Whenever I have a weak kick, I can usually beef it up by putting another one in parallel.

Yes, layering and EQ. I learned how to get my kicks to cut through using EQ, Soundgoodizir(in FLS) and stereo enhancer(in FLS), although I'd say, just about any enhancer/maximizer and eq, even free ones, would do the same. The reason the first version came through better, I believe is because of the new kick's(s) over all sound is more muffled, so it still needs more work, I think.

Nice to know there are so many options available, free and paid. Never been a better time in tech history to be a composer/musician, especially for electronic music, on a very low budget Smile
