It sure looks exciting .
I think it's a great interview, by the way! Visually appealing and you represent what u-he stands for in my opinion very well: you are humble, authentic and knowledgable. It's about innovation, quality and craftsmanship.

Virtual Tape, yummy!
Can't wait to check it out!
Great interview btw...
added: Urs, you should consider getting some acoustic panels or something...

Wow,
looks very interesting.
I love the Essential FX suite developed by Sascha for Samplitude (the best stock plugins in any DAW in my humble opinion). Always wondered why they weren't available seperately.
I got the impression that the ones in the blurred photo will be some kind of advanced successors of them, but usable as plugins in any DAW.
I'm very excited to see more of it.

Can someone tell me (us) what Urs was talking about?
At least am very happy to see a surgical dissection
of a patients named UHber-HE in Dr. U-HE's operating room!

He's talking about the difficulties of calculating the behaviour of analogue components in (virtual) real time. They're implementing algorithms that basically try to predict a certain behaviour before it actually occurs, which can take a lot of iterations and hence processing power. He also mentions trying out all these venerable analogue synths to find out which ones (or which components) are really worth emulating - there might be too many similarities between synths, and it would be a waste of time to attempt to nail all of them.
Hope I got the technical stuff right, corrections are welcome as I am just a lowly musician.
