Revalver MK III to MK III.V?

I jumped on the Revalver MK-III deal at MFriend for $29.00
Install went fine but only shows as 32 bit, downloaded what appears to be an update for 64 bit Win and hopefully will get to that today. But I love the tone and 'naturalness' to these amp-sims and would love to know more about III.V since some are talking about the 'bugs' it has?
Besides more sims, and the $79.00 upgrade price, what are the advantages and disadvantges of upgrading?
(Especially what are these 'bugs' I've heard mentioned elsewhere?)

I am also looking forward to R4 though.
Guitar Rig 5 is great, but I have to add other processing to make it sound as 'natural' to me as TH2 or Revalver. And Amplitube 3 doesn't work on my system.

I'd rather wait for RV4 that should be out this year, rather than updating to III.V...

I'd agree fully with EvilDragon, By only what I have heard from people whom I know and trust that are beta testing R Mk IV or RV4 (whatever way they'll name it) it is promising and something to look forwards to, I'm looking forwards to it for sure. I kept away from amp plugins for along time as I had/still have a plentiful hardware setup but when I got/upgraded my own audio machine around a year and half to two years ago I started to try them and I was more than impressed with a few of them. I now utilize them along with my real stuff and in a mix it is becoming a lot more difficult to pick out the real from the ITB which is excellent. Re RV4, I never went for ReValver after Peavey bought out Alien Connections but I did purchase ReValver Mk II from said ages ago as it was one that felt great as well as sounding good plus the hosting of 3rd-party VST plugins was extremely useful.
I hope to retire ReValver Mk II for good once ReValver 4/Mk IV is released
I'm sure one of the beta team will say something if they catch this thread, All the best

Waiting for the 4 upgrade is most likely what I'll do.
I would still like to know more about these other 'issues' with III.V for my own edification though since I've only had HPse for a couple of months and MKIII for a week. Helps my overall perspective.

Have you had a look over at GAM forums where there is a sub forum for pretty much every guitar amp modelling/simulation out there? Just in case you haven't here is a link for you to the main site (which is definitely worth registering at in my very humble honest opinion) and the Peavey ReValver specific area where I'm pretty sure all bugs/niggles will be covered, It is a great resource full of good folk

That is the best resource I can think of that will answer any/all your questions more in-depth that here,
Hope it helps, I obviously can not say myself as I'm not a license owner of the version you are using and the version you are interested in or I would happily elaborate man
Best your way

Thanks for the link, saved to my favorites for later, but did find a couple of interesting reads there. Opens up some ideas I wasn't even looking for!
I'm pretty much a preset player when it comes to these, only tweaking when I find something close enough to what I want.
But a couple of days of playing this, and it's pretty much become my favorite of the three Sims I own.

Man - I thought I was getting a great deal when I bought Revalver HP last night for $12.99!! I'm sorry I missed that deal because I've suddenly become a Revalver fan boy overnight. I really dig the VST module... it works great!BBFG# wrote:I jumped on the Revalver MK-III deal at MFriend for $29.00
