Hey all,

Nexus2 version 2.3.0. is out, new GUI and 64bit support.

There are also two new expasions Kamui2 is AWESOME hehe.

Just thought I'd let the Nexus fans out there know this :)

Post

the update may bring errors up, so i will wait.

Post

One error is that it broke all my skins, and I just bought skins today, so what a bummer...

Post

thanks for this... they did say they would update the skins. I guess we assumed at the same time. Hopefully it isn't too far behind.

Did it bring anything new to the table, besides being 64 bit? Sound-wise, preset-wise, CPU wise?
I see it in my download queue.

BTW, I did put it on Ultra quality and was astonished at the difference in sound quality. CPU bad, but for that sound, I'll take it.

Manuel had a list in the why is it so expensive thread about Nexus a few weeks/months ago. cpu usage was supposed to be as much as 20% down.

Is there a way to make ultra quality the default settings?

This is the thread I refer to....

yes the new big Nexus Update will come on 1st december and will have some cool new features. Of course the update is free for all customers

- new GUI Design. (A real 3D rendered GUI (+ updates for all skins))
- 1 new insert fx slot
- 1 new master fx slot (BEHIND the reverb... so you could bitcrush, flange or compress the reverb tail - cool feature)
- 1 new limiter slot (full edit for Nexus' limiter / improvement of the limiters' overall sound)
- VST3
- 64Bit
- new insert fx: Talkbox
- cpu improvement up to 20%
- many bugfixes
- and some things I might have forgotten

the GUI is resizeable........ YESSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!!

although unless i don't have something installed properly on Windows 7 64 bit, the font looks horrible at 150 percent and above.

edit: never mind there is a 150% and a 150%* and the * one seems livable.

The GUI resize up looks bad, I don't see the point of ruining the GUI for a larger size?

Post

I can't see the point in upgrading from Nexus 1 to Nexus 2.3 just to get VST 3 support. Still I might do the upgrade to be able to buy the new Kamui expansion which is really dope sounding. If not now then maybe as a presy for my 40th birthday coming up the 16th January next year.

can someone post a screenshot of the new gui please?
thanks

Wont be updating until skins and GUI sorted.

Building a new computer after chrissie so dont want to do everything twice.

Would be nice to look at screenshot of new 3 d interface. Somebody.

Also nothing in the new expansions for me.

Cheers

Regardless of "possible" bugs great to see a 64bit version now.

people with 30" screens will see the point :) (increase the gui size for a better readability if you are sitting quite far away from the screen)

people with small screens will see the point, too (decrease the gui size to get more Nexi on the screen simultaneously)

regarding the "not working skins beside the White skin" at the moment: Mike is working on it :)

PS I will upload a screenshot

Is there an official list of updated features with this update anywhere? Release notes? I know there was the stuff posted in that other thread but I would like to see something final. :?
