Hello everyone, I'm currently doing a remix of a song by MNDR called "Feed me Diamonds" and I was intrigued by this songs production:

It's Purity Ring, song: Amenamy

Not a huge fan of Trap music but this guy creates a great dynamic vibe with the hats and snares.

What I'm looking for is to add the bass sound just like the one in that song.
I have tried to re-create it with a slow attack on amps and envelopes, a saw wave and a sine wave and a few other things like automation and sidechaining with an 808 kick but still nothing.

Any tips or ideas on how to make this exact sound? I'm currently using Massive, Sylenth, Blue, Strobe and Predator but no luck so far.

It sounds as if the bass mantains a great compressed and distorting effect on the low end but no extreme highs, almost as if it was bandpassed.

Thank you for your time! ;)

Sounds just like any ole nexus bass patch. But its compressed extremely heavily so the sidechain makes a very obvious pumping effect. What your looking for is not so much the bass patch but just heavy compression.

What kind of waves should I use? Saw wave or square? When you say "Heavy Compressed" you mean a huge ratio, lots of gain and tons of threshold?

Thanks for the Nexus ti[, it definitely sounds like it.
