Excellent! I look forward to reading your review!kennyda wrote:Hi, yeah, if I'm allowed to. They just asked me to hang on for a bit in case anything changes. Besides, I'm still learning it. But I'm pretty sure I'll be publishing it in advance.

Cheers! By some weird coincidence I just noticed I'd accidentally published it. Took it down as it's not finished. I'm not sure how my software interprets 'do not publish' as 'go ahead and publish'.
I've just been checking out the audio chopping options. They are superb.

I'm looking forward to testing the audio editing. Being able to have multiple audio events in a clip is key. Can you bounce an audio clip in place?kennyda wrote:Cheers! Hello! Sorry if this has been asked before, does Bitwig (or Bitwig instruments) have a global tuning setting? I want to use 432 hz instead of the usual 440

That's a good question, but I think global tuning to 432 Hz won't get you Pythagorean tuning. Correct me if I'm wrong.Opal Mentol wrote:Hello! Sorry if this has been asked before, does Bitwig (or Bitwig instruments) have a global tuning setting? I want to use 432 hz instead of the usual 440
It's easy if you know how

Yes you can bounce in place, and bounce to a new track..pdxindy wrote:I'm looking forward to testing the audio editing. Being able to have multiple audio events in a clip is key. Here's how it's done in Reason.

I am still not convinced it will work as you wanted, as Pythagorean tuning is not the same as modern tuning, so I think detuning the master to 432 won't get you the desired result.

This may only be possible in Reason due to the fact that reason has its own rack format.lesha wrote:Here's how it's done in Reason.

With a vst that's receiving midi from the host I don't think there is anything that the host could do to control the tuning of the instruments output, beside sending pitch bend messages or something like that. The instrument would have to have it's own tuning control.

Checking about mixer features in Bitwig. Curious about:
Stereo panning option (both sides independently pan-able)
Auxes/Buses--Hopefully unlimited and namable
Delay compensation implementation
Track grouping, also track folders(?)
Ability to import tracks/auxes from other sessions
Can anybody who's worked with the program thus far say anything about those features?

Stereo Panning is the same as in Ableton sadly..i requested this here already and on there facebook page, we`ll see. Smth like this would be great..
Auxes/Buses--are in and unlimited as far as i know.
Delay compensation implementation : not sure, supposed to work correct according to the testers.
Track grouping, also track folders: no but its on the featurer list up high...
Ability to import tracks/auxes from other sessions: yes, drag n drop, there is this session tab function, you might have seen in the videos..
