As the release thread in the market place got lost during the forum update, here it is again:

I just released my first soundset for LinPlug's Spectral, the Instrument forum is currently locked so I am posting it in the Market Place:

This soundset contains 101 patches for LinPlug's Spectral reaching from complex experimental textures to evolving pads and dark drones to playful and edgy sequences, tinkling bells and chimes to rich harmonic textures, expressive leads and exceptional alien and futuristic sound effects.

All waveforms and filter shapes in this soundset are programmed from scratch, exploring new and exciting sonic territories. The Modwheel is assigned for most of the patches, many also use Aftertouch.

You can view/download the PDF for this soundset with more details, the licence agreement and the patchlist, including playing tips and descriptions for each patch here.

All demos below were produced entirely with Spectral using only patches from Spectral Excursions, no post-processing was applied apart from a limiter on the outputs and some volume automation, if several instances of Spectral were used in a track. If a demo does use 3rd party FX, it will be mentioned in the track title.

This is some pretty fantastic stuff! I can't stop listening to the demos.

IMO, bumping a product like that in the instrument forum is not very appropriate since this forum is about discussion more than promotion. Why not do that in the market place instead?

The Market place is for promos and special offers, the instrument forum is for released sets, as this is not on sale or discounted in any way I don't see a problem bumping it so shortly after the release. This has been discussed to death on KVR, as long as we don't have a dedicated soundset/sound library forum this is the way it is. And thank's for the congrats.

Did I just buy this Spectral Excursions on the Interactive sale Nov-Dec 1 on Patchpool, Yes! Did I have the Spectral Synth to play the sounds when I bought the bank? No, I figured I'd just wait until the last Days of December to get the Spectral Synth so I could play the sounds, but 20 days or more wait to get to hear these first hand, proved to be too too long a time to wait.

I bought the Spectral Synth an hour ago..

I'm using then now, and what I heard in Simons Demos of this bank is what I'm hearing now, except that I am in control of these sounds.

First impressions are that the sounds quality and sound design is stellar..

Very pleased and impressed.
