thats b***sh**.. ..akoff can't give you the expression vibrato as midi as this. it's really mindblowing. get it!Jaidy wrote:Akoff cloned and given a facelift as a 'hip' app...

Except this is only 60% the price of Akoff and works on a Mac as well - although it doesn't have the extended feature set, either.Jaidy wrote:Akoff cloned and given a facelift as a 'hip' app...

Hmm, hadn't heard of Akoff before. Has anyone tried it? I see there's a demo on his site, but it only works with audio of 8 seconds or less and won't let you save the midi file, which would, it seems, prevent me from running the midi through a Kontakt library. I googled "review akoff" but no one seems to have written anything ; basically all the hits were for softonic pages or cracked warez sites. I'm wondering, if it's good, why wouldn't more folks be talking about it? Perhaps an overlooked / undermarketed gem?

No real-time process with melodyne,...and no voice/signal to MIDI AFAIKIgro wrote:wow, amazing. I know that melodyne could do something like this, but this one is more advanced.

Melodyne (except the most basic version, Melodyne Essential) does do voice/signal to MIDI, though not in real time afaik. I've used it this way before.Krakatau wrote:

For the $25 kickstarter until funding is over next week, I can't see why ANYONE wouldn't get in on this. Melodyne Studio - any version - doesn't do real-time, although I use it regularly to convert audio to midi (in the manner described by Akoff) Imitone is the first real-time software I've heard of that ACTUALLY works - at least with Macs.

I doubt it. Looks like it was built in MAX, though I could be wrong, but I definitely get the impression its entirely standalone.electro wrote:it is VST compatible?

Yes, for now standalone (as I read it).
About VST version is written in the funding goals:
Not that far away though maybe, next goal. Currently at ~ $55,000 and 5 days to go.
About VST version is written in the funding goals:
edit:$60,000 -- VST plugin version! (imitone and imitone prime)
An imitone VST plugin would operate inside rather than side-by-side with compatible music programs, allowing it to share low-latency inputs on Windows and more tightly integrate into advanced workflows. The VST would be for Windows and Mac and would be included with imitone and imitone prime for all backers.

Reddit had this about 2 weeks ago. It's interesting I guess.
