Yo,
I know most synths can probably be used for most applications, but would anyone here be able to recommend those ''most known'' or ''programmed towards'' synths for creating funky special FX to use for song transitions?
Appreciate any responses
Cheers.

basically asking what are the best synths, because any good synth should be able to do this because of modulation options, mod matrix etc. Spire, Sylenth, massive all have really good fx type sounds, sylenth really easy to program them too, do a youtube search and learn to create them yourself, it is very useful knowledge
Also worth a look is rise and hit from NI but its a sample library but with good tweak options http://www.native-instruments.com/en/pr ... /rise-hit/

I know the basics of Synth programming, but some tend to be geared towards a particular focus area. For example, Sylenth is good for synth plucks, whereas IL Harmor/Harmless is more geared towards less natural sounds, like robotic voices and the like.
Was just curious on other people's opinions that's all.

I'd say spend more time with sylenth and try some more sound banks, there are over 500 of them. Sylenth is very very good for all types of sounds, bass, leads, pads, fx, etc

by transition..do u mean like "stings" in tv show like "ta laaaa tammmm" that is usually more about the actual notes than the preset sound
but if u mean "risers*(synth sound that goes sustains and rise pitch over time)
that is usually easier with a synth that has a "legato" or "portamento" knob
or u can press a note and slowly rise the pitch with the pitch-bend on your keyboard
or if u mean "washes" that is usally done with a noisy sound-source with a lowpass or hi-pass filter being controlled from start to end of the wash
