Does anyone have a good, simple, way to manage a library of digital audio clips (outside of DAWs and the like) and keep track of the good/interesting bits? Maybe add some text notes for a given time location in the audio file.

When messing about and recording audio, most of the raw stuff may be of little interest, but it would be good to be able to easily tag the good bits for future reference. This seems like an ideal candidate for a mobile app, with access to multiple cloud storage locations. I'm struggling to find anything, for Android anyway.

XNview, which is an amazing image browser, allows for tagging files (pictures...as well as audio files).

Resonic is also rather promising. It is still in alpha stage, and the development sometimes slows down a bit due to coding and stuff, but several beta testers are pushing towards such features ( = not being only an audio player, but becoming a great sample manager with search, compare, and annotation things).
