Analog: Sub37, MS-20 Mini, Alpha Juno 2, Diva, Monark, and sometimes I'll take soft synth output and run it through some analog Moogerfooger's to add some analog-ness
Digital: Pretty much Zebra
But I don't look at it as I need an analog sound or a digital sound. I just make sounds.

That's my approach, too.ImNotDedYet wrote:

Thanks for stating it so succinctly.

Not my approach, as I explained earlier here. When I need a certain sound I do think analog-ish or digital-ish, and decide what synth to use based on that..... but they are all softwarebluedad wrote:That's my approach, too.ImNotDedYet wrote:

CrimsonWarlock aka TechnoGremlin, using Reaper and a fine selection of freeware plugins.

That synth seldom gets mentioned, the entire brand actually. TAL should do an emulation of the 110Fthecontrolcentre wrote:Analog:

I currently have just one analog h/w synth (Mopho X4), a h/w VA (Virus TI2), and a h/w VA/ROMpler (PC3X). And, I have a ton of soft synths that include everything from VA subtractive to FM to granular to additive to yada yada yada... But, I pretty much look at it like this:
With the exception that I go to my ROMplers or samplers for emulations of real acoustic instruments.ImNotDedYet wrote: But I don't look at it as I need an analog sound or a digital sound. I just make sounds.
Logic Pro | PolyBrute | MatrixBrute | MiniFreak | Prophet 6 | Trigon 6 | OB-6 | Rev2 | Pro 3 | SE-1X | Polar TI2 | Blofeld | RYTMmk2 | Digitone | Syntakt | Digitakt | Integra-7 | TR-8S | MPC One | TD-3 MO
