there's a science fair coming up and my 1st grade daughter wants to enter. it doesn't have to be anything too complicated at all. I was thinking about something with sound waves (different shapes or maybe frequency or something). I have a hardware synth (virus ti) or I could even maybe bring a computer in.
I'm looking for ideas. please bring 'em on.
thanks.

I would start with a a simple synth like Charlatan and throw smexoscope on it, and start playing with the sounds. I'm sure she will get some ideas for a project from that.
I attached both to the topic so you can get them, they are both free

CrimsonWarlock aka TechnoGremlin, using Reaper and a fine selection of freeware plugins.

cymatics can be simple to implement, but is fairly impressive 'visually'.

Korg little bits. Not free though but seems like something interesting/educational for kids.
Stuck in Aperture Laboratories for a 2nd time!

wow... great ideas. thanks so much... some great places to start. I probably won't be doing the little bits, but it looks so cool that we'll probably get one down the road.
