In restrospective exhibitions painters show their old works, just like musicians play their old songs during concerts. That's welcome and expected. My comment was related to artists recycling their own old ideas and selling them as new.

True! And in DM's case I guess it's also a question of popular demand. It' swhat teh audience want to hear.

Speaking of retroperspective...you're right...however in Kraftwerks case I think they've taken it just a little to far.

I checked out the new album today. I like it. It is very rare to find someone actually making instrumental music with modulars which goes beyond experimental noodling. This was all very musical, and most of it reminds me of Warp-era early IDM.
