Please explain to this 5 year old why he needs VSL Ensemble when he's already got a good DAW

The 2013 MP has quad-channel memory. Haven't seen any benchmarks on what difference that makes for music, though...

The other thing to consider is the memory speed. If you're running 4.1 firmware, you're stuck at 1066Mhz, whereas 5.1 can handle the 1333Mhz memory.

Well, my situation is certainly "memory hungry" and Christian at VSL appears to me to be authoritative enough to speak to this so I went with a multiple of 3 per his argument, which was that too much of that 32 gigs was going down the drain. I don't know what particular real world gain 4 channel or faster spec'd RAM is, either. I'm no expert.
