Sugar Bytes really are hard at work turning out new plugs :o

This looks pretty unique, one of the main selling points is that it can act as a VST Plugin Host

The VST plugin hosting interface can feed a VST instrument with trigger, pitch and 11 automation lanes. Take your plugins to new levels and make them sound like never before.

Price not too bad $/€99

Looks interesting, will try the demo asap.

The inbuilt sound generators are lame, but the Midi/sequencer concept is brilliant, trying to hook it up to an external synth now.

the trailer is cute...but doesn't reveal much...
here's direct links to the youtubes that reveal what it does...

I was just thinking the same...not really impresssed.

i would hope that the inbuilt sound generators could be disabled, and not use up any CPU after doing so.

in some of their other plugins that generate midi (and are designed for this purpose), the inbuilt synths can be 'turned down' ...but not turned off (i.e they still sap the same CPU. Reported to sugarbytes, they acknowledge it but don't care enough to fix it)

Makes me think it is a continuation of Egoist, groovebox kind of thingie, with added seq abilities to also drive other plugs.

Can you enter scala or tun scales or is the selection fixed?

No idea yet what it does but have to give them credit for nice colored dots.
No signature here!

Kind of glad I didn't buy into the Sugar Bytes bundle which I was tempted to do a year ago or so, when I had the money...

Over the last year Sugar Bytes has released 3 new plugs, and new plugs don't get added to the bundle once you bought it. Users will have to buy them extra if they want them.

Yes, it would indeed be nice if Sugar bytes had upgrade pricing model for new plugins like most other companies releasing new synths after initial bundle.

Just a tad bit weird and obscure to me.

i feel like their plugins are becoming more flashy while also becoming more useless for the masses. i love their gui's but damn i wish they would make something worth while. what we have here is an over glorified arp for 99 euro. and since i'm not into making a bunch of random beeps i'll have to pass.
