I've been eyeing the horns from Sample Modeling, after having a difficult time making Vir 2's Mojo Horns sound as realistic I'd like...
Their prices are pretty steep for me, so I'm wondering if anyone knows if they have a sale each year, and if so when...?
Plus anyone have any experience with their saxophones, trumpet, Clarinet, flutes etc & care to comment on how do they compare to Vir 2, Embertone etc?

Do take a look at Virharmonic's brass libraries if you're only looking at horns.

To the best of my knowledge, Sample Modeling does not have sales. No educational discount either. In one of the threads on their forum, they stated: "We also deem this a fair policy towards previous customers, otherwise paying the full price, just to discover that a discount is announced a few days later".

Existing users do get a small discount on new releases, though.

It's weird, but I couldn't find any brass libraries on https://www.virharmonic.com

That's a low price for this!
Do you have any experience with it yourself?
If so can you compare it to Vir 2's Mojo?

Post

I don't have any experience with it. I just happened to see the offer and your post.

if you're in the US, buying not from Sample Modeling is almost like having a sale.... compared to a few years back.

I'm showing this to be out of stock. Especially odd for an electronic delivery item only on sale until Aug 24. :?

Maybe they ran out of Serial Numbers.

Don't know how that happened, but I messed up Strezov Sampling and Virharmonic. Sorry. You'll find horns here, even free ones, though I haven't tried them. The Cornucopia Strings freebie on the other hand is amazing. http://www.strezov-sampling.com/products/

The deal is back @ Time+Space for CHHC. Hurry up before it disappears again!!! :)
