This is a damn shame.
But... there is one! Since the release many users where asking for one, so we implemented it a month ago (more or less), please follow the link bellow, we do offer a crossgrade from HALion 5, HALion Sonic 2 and Groove Agent 4.

I think what we're all asking for is that the crossgrade be expanded to include the multiples of what we already own instead of the 'one-size'fits-all' that only takes one of your pick to crossgrade from. (And still leaves most of those out).

I opened an inquiry ticket to find out if I could take a different approach in this regard.
That is, I want to find out if what I already have can stay registered and if I can then sell the unregistered numbers to someone and move it to their account for download (in my case, it would simply be Grand 3 I already have). And the crossgrade will still be from HAL 5. While not the most ideal, it is something that at least has a workable solution. Is something like that allowed?
If you have a license you can sell it, and here is how it works: https://www.steinberg.net/nc/en/support ... tware.html

If you have a The Grand 3 license and a HALion Sonic license you can sell them separately.

Since the only qualifying product is HALion 5 it would HAVE to be. But I very much doubt they'd let you sell the numbers or do an electronic transfer from account to account.

What you'd need to do is get a second dongle, move off everything but the qualifying upgrade product to that dongle, then upgrade. You will now be free to sell the additional licenses on the second dongle. For this to change, eLicenser would have to offer some sort of cloud based management system which allowed transfer electronically, rather than selling the physical dongle.
This is my basic understanding of it also. However, since the second license is not yet registered and it is a download product anyway, it seems it would just be as easy for them to allow a transfer to another account and leave the responsibility of having the dongle on the new owner. Catch my thinking on this? So what I'm pretty much asking is if they have tied those licenses in the collection together or if they are separate in a way that would allow them to be transferred as such. This should also apply to already having that first license for Retrologue in Cubase. Otherwise, I see it couldn't happen any other way than to move my old license to a dongle, sell off, etc., etc. Which does make it a PITA with extra cost on the seller and doesn't increase their credibility of support either. Chances are, if they make it easy enough to jump through a hoop, I just might.

Fact is, I'm really only wanting to round out H5 with what can be implemented with it. Which I think is just three or four of the included products. PSP and GA4 is just a sweetening of the deal. But maybe they could offer something separate along those lines? An "Absolute-Lite" pick what you want and/or what you need. Which seems to be what so many of us are asking for here anyway.

Add/Edit: Support has just contacted and informed me that the Absolute Collection is a single license and therefore cannot be separated. Which means we're back at square one having to buy an additional USB key to move it on to sell it secondhand. Oh well. It doesn't kill the possibility of buying it, but it does delay it until they have a sale on them.

i think there should be a cumulative discount where the more you have the less the upgrade is...seems logical
