Guitar feedback emulation?

How to make that sound...

Hi

Is there any software that can emulate guitar feedback?

I am not a guitarist ... I was speaking to a friend who is and he told me that feedback was something that Fender guitars were good at due to the make-up of their coils (something to do with polarity?) and that others makes were designed in a way that nullifies the effect.

Anyway, I would be interested to hear if there is anything available or how a similar effect might be had - I was thinking about using a filter driven into self oscillation, although that is not going to be the same (I think!).

Thanks.

Yes, there is some but nothing can beat the real thing, Imho.

To start: guitar gadgets vst has a feedback module called larsenator.

Softube have a dedicated plugin (which is not great) but I prefer the feedback module in Predatohm (Ohmforce).

Either way Chris-S is right, they don't come close to the real thing.

BTW Most guitars can feedback to some degree (if you try hard/loud enough), it just depends on how sensitive they are and matching polarity/resonance frequencies.
I miss MindPrint. My TRIO needs a big brother.
