"This product has been in development for over a year and was conceived to address some of what we see as fundamental weaknesses that have evolved in workflow in the digital domain. Probably the most important weakness we saw in the plugin market was the inability to associate a hardware controller with more than 1 plugin at a time. "

My thoughts: Seems interesting, i might have to demo it. Not sure if this will be more useful than something like Plogue Bidule which i hope to buy soon. Full version is $250.00 USD which is pretty pricey when you can find other similar options for less.

Bidule is only $95.00 USD and has been in development now for much longer just to compare for those who are looking for options.

Are you sure it doesn't just mean mac vsts? I think it would take some pretty sophisticated software to run actual Windows vsts on mac, since it would have most of the same problems as running a Windows executable on mac.

A Wine translator can force some Windows applications to run as .app, but this is another level. Typically, no, a Mac under OSX does not run a .dll. The vst for OSX is .vst. Not the same. There is something which purports to enable this. http://diaphone.blogspot.com/2010/12/11.html

vfx thing

"FX Host Software offers built in support for VST plug-ins originally intended for use on the Windows operating system. That means you can now load and play nearly every Windows VST plug-in directly in Mac OS X and route the audio signals to your favorite sequencer (e.g. via Soundflower). You don't need the V-Machine hardware to play your Windows VST plug-ins on your Mac. "
