Hi,
anybody noticed that with the 5.6 update, rather than show us colored keys (for keyswitches etc) it's only showing a little color box at the top of each key?
Does anyone know if there is a way to change it back to the way it's always been?
Hopefully we don't need new scripts for every instrument

Creating eye strain here.... might have been better to show a 88 keyboard in that windows and keep the coloured keys.
Will need to book a visit to opticians if I am going to use this less 'defined' GUI.

I posted this (on page 8 ) in the "Kontakt 5.6 Free Update. Opinions?" thread in Instruments, but it might as well go here too, as it is specifically regarding the "keys". ergo:
It could be just me, but I will not be able to use the update, unless I hide the keyboard (assuming we still can). Which sucks, as I like using it.
I have a seizure disorder, and just looking at any image of the interface for a even a second, because of the way the gradations are randomly done around the little squares for the "lights", makes them (the blank squares) dance around all over the place.
I can't look down at it without becoming (essentially) "transfixed", and my eyes spazzing-out. Looking away, that visual anomaly of 'movement', persists for 10-20 minutes.
If you zoom in on any screen grab, you can see that neither the lines, nor the gradations on/around the stupid "boxes" for the lights, (which should be an option for those with the NI controller) are uniform anywhere across the KB.
The phenomena is not unlike this:

Yeah ^^^ THAT^^^ to. There is a petition on the NI Kontakt forum, to return the old style. But at least, make the new color-keys optional. This won't happen unless enough people voice there preference for that "option". Please click "like" on the first post, so NI will take notice. Thanks.

100% agree, new color system is very very bad idea.
And i miss the opening of the quickload panel with one button, now i need 2 click to open and close it.

You don't - quickload opens when you right-click in the instrument pane.

Matter of fact that is the method I have been using since Kontakt 5 came out, I completely forgot there was even another method.EvilDragon wrote:You don't - quickload opens when you right-click in the instrument pane.

They made them (the color markers) smaller, to coincide with the small font that has become the Kontakt trademark These guys need a UX team.

Yes, fine when you have an empty pane, but not when your pane is full of instruments.EvilDragon wrote:You don't - quickload opens when you right-click in the instrument pane.
Or when you are in edit mode.
So, this button was very useful to me.

It works even with a pane full of instruments - right-click on empty parts of instrument header or empty parts of instrument GUI (where there are no controls). It will open quickload as well.
In edit mode quickload was disabled and unavailable even before Kontakt 5.6 so that's a moot argument
