Yeah. I really make Internet horrible by helping out whenever i can and because i had the answer you had to call me out with venomous slander like KVR Armchair specialist.

But go on and keep being an ass and attack everyone as you please since that does really make internet a better place to be.

I am not so shure who is the biggest A-Hole here is it you or me i wonder?
Hey D-Fusion. I am part of the support team. My job is to find people who have questions and get them answers and if it's more complicated guide them to our support techs. I'm still new to Roland and am still learning how each instrument works. I'm not an encyclopedia yet. :)

Most importantly I really try to make sure my answers are solid before I give them to people, even if I think I know, it's always good to check in. It's great y'all know these details and I learn just as much from you!

No worries at all! I always appreciate and respect a good sarcastic joke.

Dear oh dear,
Instead of releasing new plugins for RolandCloud subscribers, Roland decided to introduce “new” toy keyboard:

I had some extra time this morning to check what happens with the RCM.

It seems it updates itself if I wait long enough...but if I click the button to try to install it myself, (using the "New Version Available" button) that's when it has a problem and eventually crashes.

Also, if I let it do its thing by itself (without clicking that button) and it eventually says its updated, the next time I open RCM down the line, it says it needs to update all over again. I am just glad I can use the plugins no matter what it seems to be doing.

Love it.
Looking forward to more deep info on this one since it says you can expand it with wave expansion and sounpacks.
Some say it has 256 voices but i can't find any info about voice count from roland.

Maybe Jon could be so kind to dig out some more info :tu:

My question then is how many voices? And what are the limitations when you expand the library?

Can I add all the wave expansions and the sounds I have made in Zenology Pro?

Hey D-Fusion! The Maximum Polyphony is indeed 256 voices. As for ZENOLOGY Patches, I'll do some more research! I imagine that you can add custom patches by exporting "for hardware/ZC1" in ZENOLOGY. Which would be very cool. :)

Hey Examigan. That is very odd that it updated itself. Do you happen to have Auto-Update Instruments deactivated in your preferences?

Thank you for digging out the info Regarding Voice count :tu:
Looking forward to hear what you find out on the Expansion side too since it says Wave expansions which is the same as SRX but in Zen form and how much it can be expanded with Zenolgy Pro sounds and the Wave expansions :)

I do have the SH-4D for pure synth programming so this keyboard would be a great addition to my setup if i can add my 4 banks of Zenology Pro presets and my 5 Wave expansion packs into it.

Hi Jon

I just checked it out and Auto-Update was not selected.

I started up RCM to look and yet again it says there's an update.

But I waited a few minutes and then just like before, the button disappears and it says it's updated. I didn't click on the "New version available" button either.

If I reboot or whatever else and start RCM again, it almost always goes through this same sequence of events. At least I can use the two plugins I bought, so it's not a total loss or anything, it's just weird. :?

I won't bother posting about this here anymore, but will wait to see if the support gets back to me through email.
