Hey Scrubbing Monkeys, Whats do you mean when you say your "Mars Kits" :)

Thanks for trying these Muxs out and I'll take all your suggestions on board for the next one ;)

There's more than one sample player at work on the kick and others, so it's not easy to present just one sample player.

Steve
Hey Steve. I was refering to the 808 and 909 samples from Samples from Mars. I realize the some drums are made up from different samples and that is where your project really shines.

I really like the layout and it truly does make a great drum sample instrument.....with a few mods to make it a bit generic. Could even leave in the click aspect of the kick for example or perhaps use that as a blend between samples.

Thanks again for sharing.

Hey guys here is a basic drum synth. Works and sounds pretty decent. I tried the best I could on the cymbal sections but could really use some help in this area so I included a sampler on those pieces. Hope yall enjoy.

Nice one thanks for sharing!
Is this pure synthesis apart from the two sampler parts I mean?

Thanks for sharing! Nice, ergonomic layout.

Ok boys n girls.....I cant enough great things about this MUX. It is based on a layout that FSM77 did. I merely made a few mods.

I made the gui a bit generic

I added launchers to the drum piece names. When you click on the name left of the sequencer it opens the sampler for that piece for easy swaping.

I added a drum bus rack. Click on Drum bus above the inserts to open a rackto process the entire kit.

Thats it.
Seriously this MUX rivals many a commercial product. You basically have a tweakable drum machine with a powerful sequencer and a complete mixer in essentially a one page gui......

I have used this to set up many a Samples from Mars kit in minutes. I will surley be adding my own creations to this wonderful arrangment.

All credit goes to FSM77.....freakin awesome!!

Could just have been a slot - then if you need more than just the one slot, you could have a rack in the slot. That gives flexibility for having "just a compressor" across the bus in easy reach, or allowing a single click still to bring up a rack (by dropping a rack into the slot).

Thanks guys-

Oh....something I wanted to mention about the above generic version. The (hopefully embebed) samples are stock Mutools drum pieces. I left the original ''click'' and ''snap'' samples for the kick and snare respectively in place because they combine easily with any kick and snare sample.

This method should get you started (second half of the vid explains the cymbal sound, basically a noise sound plus high-pitched osc) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qi5fbezyzio

Working on a TB-303 Acid MUX, here's an early demo of it. Anyone potentially interested in it?
