Changed the topic to Android Music Making Apps: List and Discussion. Haven't found a single thread dedicated for discussing android apps.

Great list that I hope continues to be updated. I would also be tempted to add MikroWave, both versions of Pixitracker and perhaps some other other warm place.ru apps to the list. Now that the musicalandroid site has gone quiet it would be good if this thread could become more active in discussing Android music making apps. I'm particularly interested in how some of these apps behave on various devices and how useable they are on smaller screen phones.

To start the ball rolling:

I'm sure G-Stomper would be a good fit for a tablet but I can't use it on my phone as the interface is too dark and text size is too small for me to work with comfortably.

Zenbeats wasn't compatible on my old Moto G3 so I was looking forward to trying it out when my Pixal 4a (with Android 11) arrived. Unfortunately Zenbeats is also unusable on my new phone because of severe audio glitches and I am not sure if they are caused by the app, the phone or the operating system. Having said that, Stagelight didn't like my Moto G3 either!

Most of the other music making apps I use are still working well on Android 11 – Caustic threw up a "this app may need to be updated…" message at first launch but appears to be behaving on Android 11.

My go-to apps at the moment are the new version of Sequence Groovebox and Sputter. It's great to see some real Android only competition to apps with similar features on iOS.

I have added those thanks. I use GStomper on my mobile and it works for me perfectly (my phone is 6.55 inch). Zenbeats also works fine but it does have a lot of bugs. I found sputter to be super cool, the dev was very nice too, I have also requested him to add more time signatures and triplet support. I've tried sequence demo and its quite nice, however, FL Studio Mobile is half the price of that in my country (close to 4 dollars), so it doesn't make sense buying it especially since i have apps that can do everything it can do.

On the free side, Bandlab is really good, Zenbeats free version is also very capable (now that they give you two fully capable synths), I also like this app called Groove Mixer, what is basically a sample based sequencer with piano roll.

I also wonder why cubasis coming to Android hasn't been a huge news since it is one of the best DAWs in iOS.
