This is the third track on my most recent album. I wrote it for my wife for her yoga class she teaches and another friend who is a masseuse. The album features 70 minutes of chill environmental oriented music with simple melodies that seamlessly drifts from one track to the next. Available on bandcamp for free for anyone interested. You accomplished to create a sort of tension in this track. I wouldn't primarily think of a relaxation piece here but of some kind of world music. Last but not least I recognised a professional use of ethnic elements. Well done.

Thanks for the listen and the compliments HM. This particular track is definitely a bit more tense/dark in mood than some of the others. The album is a concept album (no words, so probably a concept album in my mind only) about finding one's way in life / traversing major transitions. I used a lot of world instruments in the project. I spent a lot of time trying to create interesting backgrounds for the melodies to sit in. I believe, and have been told by others, that the overall mood is still meditational/relaxation but you are spot on, there is some tension and resolution that is likely missed due to this just being one track.

I went to your hillside-music link and really like what I am hearing there. Goblet is right up my alley.

Wow that's great. The production is so big, It's like the flute is right next to me. The stereo spread and the reverb space is also a step above what I have been able to achieve.
