I've been using Acid Pro 8 for a couple of weeks now and it works well as long as you don't use plugins that are too demanding. For instance, when I use Reaktor it crashes very often.
Also, there's something strange with the 32-bit version. If I add 32-bit plugins in the 32-bit version of Acid Pro, I see in the task manager additional 32-bit "wrappers". Yet, in the 64-bit version, you're limited to 64-bit plugins and when you add 64-bit plugins you only see Acid Pro in the task manager and nothing else (no "wrappers").
Their looping algorithms need to be updated and improved. If you load non-acid waves, the sound often gets choppy and grainy. In FL Studio, you can choose between more algorithms and you always end up with one that works perfectly.
Another problem that I'm disappointed to see is windows bugs; the resize window button works half the time and only the close windows button seems to work. It's an old bug dating back to Acid Music 7 and I thought they would have fixed it by now, but no.
Normally, I would have asked for a refund, but I want to support the rebirth of Acid with my money. Hopefully, it'll be popular enough to evolve and be 100% compatible with Windows 10. For the moment, it's usable (and I do use it) but it's a bit clunky.
